Researching various forums, it seems the issue boils down to the Emulation that the KVM switch does, in order to fool the rest of the servers that you are NOT connected to, into thinking a physical mouse and keyboard is connected.Īs you can see from this response from IOGEAR, a KVM switch Mfr, it seems to be hit or miss: I'll look into this and get back to you as soon as possible. Obviously, more keyboard and mice (including wireless I/O devices) have been used in the field since the release of the product but this is something we tested for many years ago when the product was released. However, I will see what the engineering team has to say.Īttached is a list of keyboard and mice that were tested during the development process of the product back in 2007. Unfortunately, there is no hot key sequence to disable to emulation of keyboard and mouse on the Pro3.

Where you seeing the same issue, or a variation of what I saw? What I saw was that the Microsoft 3500 mouse moved fine from left to right, but was unable to move up and down.

As such, it appears to be an issue with that specific model of mouse. When I moved my Logitech Wireless Combo set (K350 & M705) over to the Dell OptiPlex 7010 (from my work computer), both the keyboard and the mouse functioned properly on either USB port (keyboard or mouse port). Connected through a Non-Powered USB Hubĭirectly connecting the mouse to the computer (in my case a Dell OptiPlex 7010) the issue is not present. In all of the below scenarios, I saw the same issue as you:ģ.

I will work with our engineering team to see what can be done to address this issue. I have duplicated your issue in my lab with a Pro3 and a Microsoft Wireless Mobile Mouse 3500. My name's Rafi Khusro and I'm a Solutions Architect for Belkin Business Division.
